Fox news analyst (wink), Sarah Palin, has decided again to push her podium-preaching of how and when it is appropriate for anyone to use the word “retarded”
To make matters worse, her critique on the first amendment has been directed towards Seth MacFarlane and his cartoon, “The Family Guy”. Before I continue, a personal note to Mrs. Palin: never, ever, what ever you do, attack Family Guy. Their writers are better than yours.
The actress who lent her voice to the Family Guy episode has spoken out. In the storyline, actress Andrea Fay Friedman portrays a girl with Down syndrome, who proclaims that she is the daughter of the former governor of Alaska. The 39-year-old actress, who too has the condition in real life, told the New York Times that she does not see anything wrong with the episode. She told the newspaper, “I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line, ‘I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska,’ was very funny. I think the word is ‘sarcasm.’”
And that is where form-Gov Palin dips off the shelf of reasonable, modest intelligence and back to where we all remember her: Seeing Russia from her front porch. Weeks ago, it was reported that Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s Chief-of-Staff first brought this issue to the table for Sarah when he said “fucking retards”. This began the firestorm of hypocrisy that included Rush Limbaugh who repeated it many-a-time on his radio show (27 to be exact):
“Our politically correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards … I’m not going to apologize for it.” – Rush Limbaugh 2/3/10
Being that Sarah wouldn’t dare cross Rush, she went on to say that he can use the “R-word” because he uses it in a satirical way. Well, that didn’t stop Rush from fluffing his feathers as moral leader of the Republican Party:
“I only hope here that Rahm doesn’t go out and call these people another F-ing unfortunate name out there, folks, because I’ll have to repeat it in another satire.” Rush Limbaugh 2/9/10
So here we are again, with the people of the Fox News viewer-ship being subjected to the obsurdity of so many things, must now deal with: Sarah Palin as a Fox News Analyst, Sarah Palin as compassionate “political correctness” crusader, and now Sarah Palin as a Fox hater, calling out “Fox-Hollywood” for allowing such profanity on the air in the first place!
Pardon me, but another personal note to Mrs. Palin: Really? do you not realize you are working for Fox? Have you ever thought, ‘gee, maybe I’m part of their comedy line-up rather than their news-line up”? Of course you haven’t, because there is no difference between the two. ZING.
The sad part about the whole thing is the person who ends up getting hurt in all this is Trig. He has to spend his early years of life being the shield for a mother who can not come to grips with her new reality as someone who is both loved by some and taken for a big joke by others. She will never realize that no one has made fun of the mentally retarded, those with special needs or down syndrome; they simply made fun of you.
As a final quote from Andrea Fay Friedman, ”I was making fun of Sarah Palin, but not her son.” – Well said Andrea, but don’t expect Mrs. Palin to ever understand how you could do such a thing.
Now, for your viewing pleasure, I present to you, everything that is evil in the world, as viewed by Sarah Palin:

Jason, you really made me laugh with this one. Just great.
